HOW
DO I APPLY ?
To
gain the Living Wage Employer award, all staff that your organisation
directly employs, or who regularly work on your premises for a contractor,
must be paid a Living Wage.
Commonly,
it is the wages and conditions of contracted cleaning and catering
staff that need improving.
If your office
employs all cleaning and support staff directly, you can simply
adjust employment contracts up to Living Wage standards.
If purchasing
cleaning services from a contractor, your office can stipulate Living
Wage standards into the service contract. Contact us if you would
like a template Living Wage clause.
Alternatively
you can purchase cleaning services from Living Wage contractors
that are officially endorsed by London Citizens.
London Citizens
offers the Living Wage Employer award to all organisations which
can show that all their staff are paid Living Wages. London Citizens
has designed a simple monitoring process to allow this. Depending
on the size and nature of your organisation a small administrative
fee is payable.
