Lead Organiser for West London Citizens

Salary  £35,000 to £40,000 circa plus benefits.
LONDON CITIZENS is seeking an experienced and creative Lead Organiser to be the main Organiser working with West LONDON CITIZENS a rapidly developingalliance of over thirty civil society groups mainly faith communities, trade union branches, ethnic associations and students. You will be
responsible for sustaining and driving the vision held by WLC’s members of a socially just, inclusive and democratic London.You will oversee all campaigns, as well as identifying and developing talented leaders from the diverse groups who belong to West London Citizens.

To be a successful COF Organiser you need to be part talent scout, part teacher, part agitator, part visionary , part leader and part follower. You also need to be open minded and inquisitive about how to make a difference in the twenty first century.A fascination about what makes people tick and how to do politics in a global world is a major advantage – as is a track record of making things happen – social enterprise, social justice campaigns, building alliances, etc. Closing date: 6th June 2008. Organiser for TELCO (The East London Communities Organisation)

Salary £22,000 to£28,000 plus.
